Wagner & Apel German Porcelain
In one of the most beautiful areas of Germany, the Thuringian Forest, in a village called Lippelsdorf, you will find Wagner and Apel, a very special kind of porcelain manufacturer. Established in 1877 by Bernard Wagner, the company is now being run by the fourth and fifth generations of his descendants.
A small team of 18 dedicated workers produce an extensive range of handcrafted and hand painted porcelain figures. Because Lippelsdorf is located in eastern Germany, until the fall of the Berlin wall these beautiful pieces were unavailable to the UK market.
